Casual Wear: For The Autumn Type
This is the third post in a 4-part series in which I will be sharing some Casual Outfit suggestions for each of the Seasons. We are talking "around the house" casual. A step above pajamas or loungewear, but a step down from what you might wear for casual Friday at work. These are the types of outfits we grab for a "day in" but they are presentable enough for us to walk the dog, take your kids to the park, greet folks at the door, or pop out for groceries.
A simple basic formula for this outfit is pants and a top with a third piece if desired and suitable footwear and outerwear for heading outdoors.
Colored denim, Khaki pants, cargo pants, leggings, knit pants, leather or suede pants, or linen are some options for a casual pant for the Autumn Type. You'll want to choose a pant style and fabric that is flattering for your body signature and expresses your personality.
Once you've selected the bottom half of your outfit, you can choose a top that pairs with it. A t-shirt, button-down shirt, sweater or tunic are all good choices.
It's a good idea to add some spice to your outfits with texture, print, or a pop of color.
Make sure that your outerwear for everyday works with your choice of casual outfit.
And remember, for a casual outfit to look and feel amazing, the overall silhouette should be chosen to flatter your Body Signature and express your personal style and energy.
What's your casual look? I'd love you to share the details in the comments.
