Working one-on-one with Joan, you'll have the opportunity to examine challenging analyses, refine your eye, observe her work, receive feedback on your own, and explore the questions that naturally arise as you begin putting the Suzanne Caygill method into practice. finished the foundational training and now it’s time to put everything you’ve learned into practice.
This is where it can get a bit challenging and having a good mentor to guide you is the next logical step.

Whether you've completed foundational training with Joan or studied elsewhere in the Suzanne Caygill tradition, mentorship is for consultants who want to deepen their understanding, strengthen their eye and develop greater confidence in practice
With Joan as your mentor you can explore whatever challenge is most present for you and determine the agenda of each session to really make the most of Joans expertise to support you wherever you are at with your work.

Whether that is tackling current challenges you are facing with consulting with clients, looking to develop your knowledge in a particular area of color analysis or figuring out your business niche and how to make it really successful.
Assistance in Analysis

Walking you through an analysis in person with a model is often the logical next step and the number one choice for most students. It’s very helpful to observe Joan doing a consultation and also to have her observe you. Generally this takes 2 -3 days at the studio. But if distance is an issue Joan can provide that second pair of eyes via photos to give you the extra confidence in deciding your practice model’s seasonal type/subtype and colors.
Whether you're launching a new color consulting practice, refining an established one, or simply finding yourself at a point where you need another set of experienced eyes, mentorship can help you move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

There is no single profile of the apprentice. Some of the people who find their way here:
Graduates of Joan’s Color Confidence Courses who want more hands on training, who desire in-person observation and/or virtual support
Color Consultants trained elsewhere in the Suzanne Caygill tradition who sense there is more to this discipline than their current training has given them or lack confidence.
Practicing Color Consultants seeking support and expertise for building a successful business that reflects their strengths or support in dealing with a challenging analysis.
How it Works
Mentorship is available in person at Joan’s studio at a rate of $500.00/day
Or virtually in a package of 6 - 2 hour sessions that can be conducted online or in-person in Palm Desert California, or a combination of both. Sessions times are booked based on mutual availability. Packages must be purchased in advance and used within a 6-month period.
